U.S. Post Office and Court House

1910 Devils Lake, ND Courthouse

The U.S. Post Office and Courthouse in Devils Lake, North Dakota, was built in 1910 and served as a federal courthouse until 1948. Built in the Greek-Revival style, the building is a landmark in Devils Lake, and in 1978 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. While the exterior remains unchanged, the building now houses the Lake Region Heritage Center. Visitors to the Center will find exhibits of local art and history, an old law office, and displays of the original early 20th century federal courtroom and post office.
