Communication Assistance

Communication Assistance

Pursuant to the Judicial Conference of the United States, the court must provide “sign language interpreters or other auxiliary aids and services to participants in federal judicial proceedings who are deaf, hearing-impaired, or have communications disabilities.” Please request any communication assistance in advance of the court proceeding, preferably when the proceeding is first scheduled.

Access Coordinator

The U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota has designated the Office of AO Human Resources (AOHR) to serve as its access coordinator. The AOHR is experienced with the Judiciary’s policy of providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with a hearing impairment or communication disability and the types of auxiliary aids and services available.

The AOHR can be contacted by email at court_reasonable_accommodations@ao.uscourts.gov.

For local assistance and coordination, please contact the Clerk of Court by email at ndd_clerksoffice@ndd.uscourts.gov.
