Bruce M. Van Sickle Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse

1915 Minot, ND Courthouse

Constructed in 1915, the Bruce M. Van Sickle Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse is located in the central business district of Minot, North Dakota. The building was designed in the Italian Renaissance Revival style and sits on a limestone foundation. A 1940 renovation added three stories to the rear of the building, and in 1980, it was listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The building is named after Bruce Van Sickle, who served as a District Judge in the District of North Dakota from 1971 to 2002.
