Quentin N. Burdick U.S. Courthouse

1998 Fargo, ND Courthouse

Constructed in 1931, the Quentin N. Burdick U.S. Courthouse sits in the heart of downtown Fargo, North Dakota. The courthouse is made of limestone and designed in the neoclassical style, which is characterized by symmetry, monumental scale, and classical details. In 1983, it was listed in the National Register of Historic Places. An annex was added in 2001, which now houses the court’s functions. Quentin N. Burdick, the courthouse’s namesake, represented North Dakota in the United States Senate from 1960 to 1992.
